BlackRock Ski Lodge is a purpose built modern, luxury ski and summer sports chalet. Our vision quite simply is to provide the first choice in the French Alps for a luxury, sport-focused, alpine retreat built on personal service and local knowledge, providing our clients with access to summer and winter activities, sports and training courses in a unique facility in one of the most attractive parts of the Chamonix Valley.

Black Rock Ski Lodge is a five bedroom Chalet with en suite bathrooms in all rooms and under floor heating throughout the Lodge. There is a large kitchen and dining area split over 2 floors and a living area and bar with an open fire on the top 2 floors. Outside is a large decking area with BBQ, Fatboys to laze on and of course a Jacuzzi. There is a sauna, heated boot room and ski/cycle preparation room, and wine cellar on the ground floor. The Lodge has the option of fully inclusive and self catering options and there will be some specific themed weeks from Ski Touring camps, off piste and avalanche specific weeks in the winter to triathlon training camps and French speaking courses.

The Chamonix valley has one of the largest ski areas in Europe with the majority of the skiing above 1800 meters.

Black Rock Ski Lodge is located in the village of Les Houches at the western end of the Chamonix Mont Blanc Valley. Les Houches plays host to the Kandahar World Cup downhill each year in January. The Les Houches ski domain is supported by 2 lifts from the village. The principle lift is a walk or ski from the Chalet site and has recently been upgraded. There are also rumours of future links with Saint Gervais ski resort which is itself linked to Megeve.

The chalet is within 100m of one of the Les Houches ski slopes allowing quick access by foot through the back garden to the piste or in good snow conditions guests will be able to ski straight to the door.

Les Houches is a very vibrant village at the foot of Mont Blanc with many restaurants, pubs, cafes, ski and sport specific shops used for rental and sale of equipment. It is smaller than Chamonix town and offers a more personnel feel. Chamonix town is only 10 minute drive or bus trip from the chalet down the valley.

The chalet has incredible views from its location at the base of Mont Blanc up the valley to Argentiere, and is within walking distance of all local amenities, so a car is not a necessity. Transport will also be provided to and from ski and sport areas.
