The Ponty family started producing wine in Canon Fronsac, Bordeaux in 1905. At that time Victor Ponty moved from Correze to Bordeaux to start what would soon become a family legacy. His son Jean Ponty then joined the company, followed by his older son Francois Ponty and then his younger son Michel Ponty.
Ponty includes 3 estates: Chateau Grand Renouil, Chateau du Pavillon and Clos Virolle.
