As every good story should begin, this one began when adventure athletes Tobias & Zayne Mews fell in love with a charming 18th century farmhouse in the foothills of the French Pyrenees. Known as Maison Rancesamy, it was for many years run as a successful chambre d'hote. We've now re-opened the business, with 3 luxuriously appointed rooms on offer.

Positioned in the wine growing region of the Jurancon, at the confluence of the 3 valleys of Ossau, Aspe and Barretous, 20 minutes south of the historic city of Pau, yet only an hour from the Spanish border and 90 minutes from Biarritz, it's the best of all worlds. With cycling, trail running, canyoning, golf, climbing, kayaking, fishing, hiking and just about any other sport you can think of, all within a stone's throw, it's paradise for those with a sporting inclination. As well as those who wish to relax and indulge in the cultural adventures on offer, from thermal spas to wine tasting.
