#SurfriderEurope Dedicated to the protection of oceans and coastlines, Surfrider Foundation Europe lobbies, informs, and collaborates to preserve this exceptional natural heritage. Seas and oceans are threatened by strong anthropogenic pressures of artificialisation via coastal structures, urbanization, water pollution and macro-waste (plastic marine trash) which are undermining the quality of our environment.

It is essential to respect and protect this natural heritage for ourselves and future generations. This is the message our local chapters broadcast all over Europe. Dynamic and determined, they lead local actions to raise awareness to protect our coastlines into the future.

In the field, our independent laboratories and our "Keepers of the Coast" document and make available coastline conditions. They inform our surveillance network to establish current and ongoing conditions of our beaches, as well as acting locally to protect water resources from pollution and artificialisation of the coastlines.
